Bob

Bob Brochu - Happily Retired

Bob started in the automotive field in the summer of 1969, after he graduated from West Springfield HS in Springfield, Va. He worked part time for Firestone and went to Va Tech studying Mechanical Engineering. In the mid Seventies, Bob went to work on Toyota's and Volvo's at Miller Toyota Volvo in Manassas, Va.; where he achieved Certified Master Status with both the Toyota and Volvo as well as a Master with the ASE auto certification program. He achieved Certified Master status with BMW in 1987. Moving to Va. Beach in Sept 1988, Bob continued working for BMW at the Kline BMW dealership on Laskin Road. In Dec 1989, Bob joined up with other co-workers, one was his current partner, Terry Baker, and they started Atlantic Autowerks, Ltd. Bob's motto is to take care of the customer as if their vehicle were his own! Fix it Right the First Time at a fair price, using top quality OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts, and in a respectable amount of time!

Terry Baker - Happily Retired

Terry has been a BMW technician since 1973. He bought his first BMW in 1970 just before working for VOB Auto Sales in Rockville, MD from 1971-1973. In 1973 Terry started his career as a technician at Heishman BMW in Arlington, VA. He left Virginia in 1979 and moved to Reno, NV. where he spent four years at Modern Classic Motors. In 1983 Terry came back to Virginia Beach and went to work for Atlantic BMW before it became Kline BMW. After Kline BMW was sold in 1989 Terry went to work with a few of his friends and co-workers at Kline BMW to open Atlantic Autowerks, Ltd. Since 2020, Terry has decided to retire.

Terry earned his BMW Master Technician certificate in 1986 and has over 33 years BMW experience. He Co-founded the BMWCCA National Capital Chapter in 1970 and is still very active in the club today.
